Golden Plains Festival recruits The Big Pink will bring the noise to four headline shows in March 2010. This will be the celebrated duo’s first venture down under and fans in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth will be able to say they were there.

The Big Pink’s debut album Brief History of Love is sure to feature in several prominent – œBest of 2009’ lists. Its heady mix of shoegaze, electro and spiralling feedback makes for a thrilling listen. “We’re a little bit more out of control when we play live,” one half of the duo Robbie Furze told FasterLouder last month. “We have a lot more effects pedals and it’s just more aggressive.”

The Big Pink play these shows in March 2010. Sideshows on sale Friday 27 November.
