That $70+ ticket for Passion Pit had best be a typo!

MorningAfterboy said on the 17th Nov, 2009

Mastodon at the Roundhouse = win. Good to see the Enmore getting some good ones, too.

lukey26

lukey26 said on the 17th Nov, 2009

Shit, Hi Fi Bar for Rise Against!? Awesome :D

dankobiaka

dankobiaka said on the 17th Nov, 2009

I guess the Mars Volta gig has been moved from the Hordern to the Enmore.

Must be pretty poor ticket sales.

MorningAfterboy

MorningAfterboy said on the 17th Nov, 2009

Hahaha, who cares? It's the Mars Volta at the Enmore; that hasn't happened since they toured Frances.

Braveheart81

Braveheart81 said on the 17th Nov, 2009

Hmm.. I've never listened to Mastodon and I don't like metal, but maybe it's worth trying to get a freebie to the Roundhouse.

dankobiaka

dankobiaka said on the 17th Nov, 2009

Yeah definitely more keen to go now.

Dexter Ramone

I walked out after one song of Rise againsts last show. Dare I give them another chance with a smaller venue?

lukey26

lukey26 said on the 17th Nov, 2009

I think so. Hi Fi bar is always a good venue, And I'd like to see them a bit more upclose. I seriously don't think Muse will do a sideshow. I think it might be one of those 'We'll tour later in the year' kinda things.

MorningAfterboy

MorningAfterboy said on the 17th Nov, 2009

By all means.
I don't think you'll be disappointed. Have a listen to Crack the Skye - it's really good.

MorningAfterboy

MorningAfterboy said on the 17th Nov, 2009

The sound started off bollocks, but it got better. I just wish they played more old stuff - I'm not big on Appeal to Reason.

Yay a Devendra sideshow. I needed a dose of kooky.

I think BDO press release has a mistake - Rise Against is Tuesday 19 Jan, not Thursday 19 Jan.

tyler07

tyler07 said on the 18th Nov, 2009

Already got my Lily tix so i'm set.
Haha, Rise Against playing with 50 Lions and A death in the family, fairly sure that is identical to their tour this year. Still would've gone another Rise Against sidey in Bris though.

tyler07

tyler07 said on the 18th Nov, 2009

I don't think so....

Also, add 50 Lions and A Death In The Family to the BDO lineup kenny and viv.

lineofbestfit

lineofbestfit said on the 18th Nov, 2009

kate nash is by far better both live and looks.

MorningAfterboy

MorningAfterboy said on the 18th Nov, 2009

That's because it goes without saying?

lineofbestfit

lineofbestfit said on the 18th Nov, 2009

if you went to her oxford arts show you'd know why unlike lily is not a stuck up diva either.

Braveheart81

Braveheart81 said on the 18th Nov, 2009

Probably the fact that Lily Allen is playing The Hordern and Kate Nash played Oxford Arts Factory suggests why one can act like a diva and the other can't

lineofbestfit

lineofbestfit said on the 18th Nov, 2009

well kate nash is not mainstream as well, lily has been hyped since day one.

gumbuoy

gumbuoy said on the 18th Nov, 2009

yeah I think so too - its what theyve done the last two times they played BDO.

gumbuoy

gumbuoy said on the 18th Nov, 2009

i wish i knew those venues, so i'd know what that means...oh well, ill assume it was a zing.

tyler07

tyler07 said on the 18th Nov, 2009

Keep your 2 cents worth g-man, trust me, you'll need it to get to seattle (america > australia)

muzbuz

muzbuz said on the 18th Nov, 2009

The diva status could be attributed to her higher public profile I spose. Haven't seen a KN solo show but saw her bdo performance a while back...pretty decent, more of an instrumentalist than Lily although her backing band was more stripped back (opposed to the accompanying horns section in LA's show). Just saying both were pretty enjoyable for their own reasons, none greatly more so then the other.

lineofbestfit

lineofbestfit said on the 18th Nov, 2009

the fact that you have to requote that fake tumblr proves you are a failure. Unlike you i don't think a uni course will make me 'set for life.'

Braveheart81

Braveheart81 said on the 18th Nov, 2009

The Hordern has a 5,500 capacity and Oxford Arts Factory has a 600 capacity.

gumbuoy
