The Horrors BDO sideshows

Dark and dastardly shoegazers the Horrors are set to play three sideshow dates while here for Big Day Out 2010. Up close and brooding shows are lined up for Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, offering fans a chance to see the band in its natural habitat.
We last saw the Horrors down here at Splendour In The Grass 2007, when the brooding five-piece was buzzing from the hype surrounding debut album Strange House. This year heralded an altogether more accomplished follow-up LP Primary Colours, overseen by Portishead’s Geoff Barrow. Its squalling, post-punk vigour should translate into something special onstage, especially when the lights are turned down low.
The Horrors play these three sideshows in January. Tickets on sale this Thursday 19 November.
Wednesday 20 January – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
Wednesday 27 January – Corner Hotel, Melbourne
Saturday 30 January – Amplifier Bar, Perth
