The original Jane’s Addiction line-up will play two special sideshows while here for Soundwave 2010. Septic elbow kept the flamboyant rock veterans away from Splendour In The Grass in August, but they’ll be here in full flight next February.
Since re-forming in 2008, the band has been revisiting its heady early days with a worldwide tour, including a famed run alongside Nine Inch Nails. Reports from shows abroad suggest Perry Farrell and co. have lost none of their signature swagger – or commitment to playing the classics. With Jane’s and Faith No More both coming our way, it’s set to be the summer of the – œ90s.
Support at both these Soundwave sideshows comes from Rolo Tomassi – the British hardcore sensations fronted by the deceivingly sweet-looking Eva Spence. Consider yourself warned.
Jane’s Addiction strut into the following venues in February, proudly presented by FasterLouder. Tickets on sale Thursday 19 November.
Tuesday 23 February – Sydney, Enmore Theatre [Licensed All Ages]
Wednesday 24 February – Melbourne, The Palace [18+]
