Powderfinger has spent the last few months holed up at Studio 301 in Byron Bay recording their seventh album Golden Rule. When the time came for them to lay down the track Think It Over at the start of August, the band decided they needed a few thousand extra voices to help make the chorus just right. Enter, the Splendour People’s Choir.

Straight after You Am I’s snarling set at Splendour In The Grass 2009, Bernard and co took to the Supertop stage and recorded the loved-up audience singing the chorus to Think It Over. What resulted was the inadvertent creation of the Splendour People’s Choir who are now credited on the record as collaborators.
