Epitaph’s quiet achievers The Weakerthans will play two club shows on their Soundwave 2010 tour. Following on from – œSidewave’ announcements for Faith No More and Placebo, the Canadian collective will be getting up close with Sydney and Melbourne.

The Weakerthans’ distinctive blend of indie smarts and folk-ish punk was most recently showcased on 2007 album The Reunion Tour. Led by sincere frontman and songwriter John K. Samson, the band’s live show takes in several shades, from quiet acoustic moments to strident rocking out.

The Weakerthans play these Soundwave sideshows, proudly presented by FasterLouder. Tickets on sale Friday 13 November.
