The Perth International Arts Festival is set to bring a spectacular line-up to the City Of Lights in late summer. Stretching from 5 February to 1 March, the PIAF has secured some of its finest musical guests for the 2010 program.

Heading the bill is none other than Antony and The Johnsons. Led by the singular Antony Hegarty, the group will be accompanied onstage by the 36-piece West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

If that prospect isn’t incredible enough, the Becks Music Box returns to the Esplanade for a series of outdoor concerts. Among the artists on board are New Jersey icons Yo La Tengo, noise-makers HEALTH, original renegade Marianne Faithfull, mercurial instrumentalists Dirty Three performing Ocean Songs in full and so many more.

The vibe of Becks is better than anywhere else in Perth (maybe a little pretentious for some but whatever) so I would highly recommend having a look. You can also check out our awesome ferris wheel... *cough*

Wound up getting tickets to three shows. Dirty Three,Yo La Tengo and HEALTH. Dirty Three are going to kill it out in the open air.

Its well worth the trip over if you ask me. The vibe of Becks is better than anywhere else in Perth (maybe a little pretentious for some but whatever) so I would highly recommend having a look. You can also check out our awesome ferris wheel... *cough* Pretentious... in Perth? with everyone in their good going out thongs and flannos looking slightly sick in the neon glow of the awesome revolving jail? ha ha ha Becks is one of the best venues of the year, every year. They should set it up permanently and rival Amps death disco divas.
