Central Park Music for RedCross

Finally the people of Perth are coming out of hibernation again! with so much going on in the city and Northbridge this weekend, you’ll have no excuse for watching TV and letting your arse grow fat.

On Friday evening, there is a battle of the bands fundraiser for Red Cross being held at Central Park, but it’s not just another band comp, this one is comprised of suits from the Central Park Office Tower and surrounding offices who sit in their offices all day dreaming of being rockstars.

For one night only, their businesses have sponsored them to join the battle of the bands, shuck off the suit jackets, put their ties around their heads and battle it out for corporate bragging rights, and to help the Red Cross.

On the Lineup are:
Soul Practitioners (Mallesons Stephen Jaques);
Horseless Cowboys (a collection of barristers from the City);
SoulTrain (iiNet)
The K-Rad Experience (Minter Ellison).

Warming the crowd at 5.45 will be The Regulators (Billy Hyde Music)

It’s a free event (although a gold coin donation would be appropriate since all profits fo to Red Cross) for all ages, thought there will be a cash bar and BBQ for those who will be over sobriety for another week.

Brit Allen will be MCing and the winners will be judged by Cain Turley, manager of Billy Hyde Music, Ron Pettapiece of the Red Cross, and everyone’s favourite Fasterlouder editor. Pop in on your way home from work or shopping, or have some dinner and pre party drinks and support a good cause while you’re at it.
