There’s good reason Faith No More was #1 on FasterLouder’s 25 Most Wanted Tours. The reunited band’s two sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney sold out within seven minutes this morning.

If you missed out, we’re sorry to say there’ll be no further headline dates announced. Luckily though, Mike Patton and his fellow hard-nuts will lead the Soundwave charge around the country alongside Jane’s Addiction, My Chemical Romance, AFI and so many more.

The Melbourne leg of the festival is also sold out, but tickets still remain for the other four stops. Be quick.

shite i'm no kind of cunt, and am genuinely a music lover, i do wan't him to "share the joy" tis exactly why i offered him the ticket and didn't put it on ebay, i felt bad he missed out on tix and didn't want him to have to buy a ticket at a seriously inflated rate.....gawd give a girl a break...as i already said i've had higher offers, it's not about money, but in the end we all have to pay for our tickets. he can have the ticket for what i paid for it, i don't really give a toss....
and to all you arrogant fucktards out there who are so quick to judge and drop your whores and cunts, when you don't even know me...fuck yourselves!!

You are still taking advantage of his 'music loving' for you own profit.
Seriously inflated or slightly inflated you're still scalping - Thats like saying I don't want to hurt you so instead of punching you in the face I'm going to kick your shins (for your benefit) - when you have the option of not kicking him at all.

As for arrogant fucktards... we are nothing but music lovers who fucking despise immoral selfish pricks trying to take advantage of fellow music lovers who were unable to secure tickets (while scalping wankers did).

We don't know you. You may well volunteer every spare minute to selfless causes. But by doing the above you are still with no doubt a cunt.

I may be willing to apply varying levels of cuntishness as you did not try to screw him out of every dollar he was willing to pay.

If you love music then love music. Don't screw someone else out of their money just because they are willing to pay.

I considered my own motives hard before I put in a serious thought into this post, mostly around the fact that I'm pretty done at 1:30am after Wu-Tang and you could be trolling. But whatever. I'm just going to spew and see what sticks by 6am later today.

Addressing the post directly and without profanities, there's no doubt that we - the collective FL community - have no clue who you are. You could be a loving sister, daughter, girlfriend, wife or mother, with the world's best music taste and a charming personality. But we just don't know. This is the internet. Deal.

The problem arises when you go onto these forums with motives that to you appear to be good intent but to us seems like you are scalping, especially when you say that if that an offer that is above cost price is not taken, you will "put it on eBay". This, to us, suggests that aside from this singular occasion you are not considering the musical and cultural value (or whatever) of the event you happen to have a spare ticket to, but the economic value of in on the third party vendor black market. And to a music fans that's just plain aggravating.

You also have to consider the demographic these forums are dealing with; most of us here are music lovers who go to gigs regularly around the country, of that a large fraction are contributors, former contributors or staff members of the website. I, and several friends/contribs/journos/photogs/other-music-related-folk I know have been in the position of having spare tickets and I'm guessing a lot of the fellow posters here have as well. In which case D-thenes' post covered the usual ground of how we get rid of them. Surprisingly, it's sometimes hard for me to get rid of major tickets for free, let alone at/below cost, so consider the fact that your ticket is in demand in the first place a privilege.

We're not here to come off as a bunch of haters to you and/or a capitalistic scheme of reselling. Buy all means sell your ticket: hell, there's a whole subforum dedicated to it. But please try to respect the fact that many of us will take offence to a markup of any more than $5, because it's these "subtle" markups that are meant to cover "basic" costs that have plagued the industry for years in the form of booking fees, handling fees, p+H, etc. and cause us to pay way more to the middleman when all we want to see is our favourite band. Not to mention the bastion of ticketing filth that is eBay.

The last thing we want is another fellow music lover purporting such tripe.
