Following stunning performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Opera House in 2008, Joanna Newsom returns to play an East coast tour of Australia in 2010.

Newsom’s debut The Milk Eyed Mender and its follow up Ys developed a huge underground following for her mix of gothic narratives, melodic harp and distinctive voice. Joanna and her band have recently been working on new music which will hopefully be aired on her Australian jaunt.

Having become a mainstay of Sydney Festival lineups in recent years with shows in 2007 and 2008, Joanna and her band will make their first Australian appearances outside of Sydney, with a brass and string accompaniment.
