LilkaFest Camping and Music Festival is back again in 2009. This year will boast over 10 hours of live music entertainment, featuring some of South Australia’s finest up and coming acts, on an open air stage with a captive audience. The wide selection of music genre including indie, pop, rock, electro, hip-hop, roots and dance, will be sure to once again provide punters with an entertainment experience like no other in South Australia.

This year’s line up promises some hard, energetic and engaging live acts. From the enthusiastic and passionate indie rock sounds of Fire! Santa Rosa,Fire! – through to the dynamic shifts and melodic and rhythmic complexities of Quiet Child’s furious riff filled rock, LilkaFest brings to stage a variety of genre in raw music talent. No stranger to playing big gigs The Levitators will be sure to amp the party with their high energy electro/breaks, drum n bass, funk and jazz performance and up and comers Poetikool Justice with their fusion of hard funky reggae hip hop sound are an exciting inclusion in this year’s line up. LilkaFest also looks forward to the rootsie sounds of William Street Strikers stripped back no nonsense performance and the unpredictable and explosive sound of what can best be described as punk-funk-rock from 13 piece God God Dammit Dammit.

Running from 3:00pm through till 3:00am the 18+ event strives to provide entertainment which caters for both city and rural demographics, immersing the two in a fun and festive atmosphere exclusive to Meningie. With some fresh faces on the stage, an amazing sound and lighting show and the promise of more crazy on-stage band antics the event is gearing up to be one to remember.
