Sydney’s Talons have spent the last few years doing what they do best – playing snarling live shows and producing music that led our FasterLouder reviewer to describe their eponymous, debut album as “Feisty and at times obstinate…like nothing much else hailing from the Harbour City.” Given the glowing critical reception to their first release, it is hard to believe that the chaotic three-piece haven’t found the time to have an official album launch.

Well it’s time to pull on the gladrags ( the modern day equivalent of which I can only assume is a flannelette shirt ) and get ready for two very raucous shows to finally celebrate the birth of Talons’ debut album. To mark this momentous occasion the band’s label Rice Is Nice will be releasing a free podcast via itunes on November 10th, containing a track from the album, a Beastie Boys cover and a fantabulous mystery song which they promise will “blow your brains into your birth canals”.
