FL Exclusive: Pavement forGolden Plains

FasterLouder can exclusively reveal that indie icons Pavement will play their first shows since 1999 right here in Australia. One of those performances will be on the fabled stage of the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre for Golden Plains Festival 2010.

The band released five towering albums throughout the – œ90s, before parting in 1999. In the decade since, there’s been much – œwill they, won’t they?’ murmuring over a possible return. Finally, in September of this year, Mark Ibold, Scott Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West declared: “Pavement are back”. They’re set to headline and curate ATP UK in May, but not before we get the first audience. Miraculous news indeed.

Pavement is the first confirmed name for 2008 – œBest Festival’ winner Golden Plains on the weekend of March 6-8 2010 – and really, anything else will be a bonus. The men will play headline shows around the country as well. You may now collect your jaw from the ground.

Pavement play these shows in March 2010. Tickets on sale 9am Friday 23 October.

Thursday 4 March – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 6 March – Golden Plains Festival, Victoria
Sunday 7 March – Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
Monday 8 March – Metro City, Perth
Wednesday 10 March – The Tivoli, Brisbane
Friday 12 March – The Palace, Melbourne

I believe life line is classified as that unless you are talking about eating free meals and sorry yet again i own a laptop, hence which is why i am not on any forums any more like broken glass, kill your stereo and bombsell as they just ban the ip address.
