A Not So Silent Night

Always a highlight on the local music calendar, this year the annual A Not So Silent Night extravaganza returns once again to the Rosemount Hotel on Saturday 12 December 2009. The Rosemount will be hosting a two-stage event, with bands playing inside on the main stage and outside at the garden bar.

Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s line-up features a wealth of local and national talent. Headlining this year’s event is Melbourne’s Bodyjar who will sadly be playing their final Perth show. After 15 years together, the punk-rock quartet are shortly embarking on their national farewell tour and this will be their last ever show in Perth. You won’t forgive yourself if you miss Not The Same live for the last time…

Supporting Bodyjar is a burgeoning local line-up. Whilst it will be a sad night for Bodyjar fans, Red Jezebel will be lighting the candles to celebrate their tenth year together in one of only a handful of live appearances this year. Local power-poppers turned rockers Harlequin League and the mad stylings of Will Stoker and the Embers will also light up the Rosemount main stage, with The Jackards and this year’s Next Big Thing winners Arts Martial in tow.

Locals Timothy Nelson and the Infidels, Steve Parkin and Ruby Roots will play the garden bar stage, with support from The Sea of Tunes – a Beach Boys tribute band comprised of a rag tag collection of musos from local Perth bands past and present.

The fun starts at 5pm on Saturday 12 December 2009 at the Rosemount. Be sure to come along to wave goodbye to Bodyjar and support this stellar lineup of local talent.
