CHECK OUT THE LINE-UP SHOWCASE GALLERY!

A few cats were let out of bag earlier this month, but that doesn’t make this second round of Soundwave bands for 2010 any less exciting. Joining an already plumped out line-up which includes the likes of Faith No More and Jane’s Addiction, are androgynous rockers Placebo. Lead by haircut chameleon Brian Molko, it will be the first time in three years that the band have hit our shores and the first time Australian audiences will get to hear tracks from their new album Battle For The Sun.

Joining Molko and the boys will be vintage metal overlords Anthrax, Southern rockers Shinedown and UK post-hardcore kids Enter Shikari.

The 2nd Soundwave line-up:

Set Your Goals
Enter Shikari
Closure In Moscow
+ A ‘secret 8th band’

According to competition winner starjamgirl, who revealed the line-up on twitter this morning, there is one more band that the Soundwave promoters are going to announce. Stay tuned to FL for more details.

what is your problem anyway? i hate hip hop and rap but you don't see me saying it is shit on whatever forum people who do like it post stuff on. music is an expression and artists can choose to express themselves whichever way they want. just 'cause it's not your thing, you don't have to trash it. respect it. or ignore it. no one likes a dickhead trashing their tastes. you even admitted didn't like dkos 'making jokes' about yours.. if that's even what they meant.

so dcfc may be the best band ever in your opinion, and musically i agree they certainly know how to write a song.. perhaps this is what you may understand 'all too well'... but i do not think you understand how to fully appreciate musical diversity and the profoundly awesome genre of punk/hardcore. i can't say much for the metal scene as i'm not a true metal-head (which i can accept by the way) but i do have metal head friends and i can very easliy grasp the inspiration behind their passion for metal when i listen to them speak about it, hence i can appreciate music within the genre even if i don't entirely like it. that is what i mean when i say you don't understand.

I grew up with Bon Jovi on the TV and radio - the TV played all their new shit and the radio played all their old shit. In time, I have grown to hate it all on an equal basis.

The only band from the whole "stadium rock" thing in the eighties I like is Motley Crue.

The reason for the whole Slayer business is that during a drum workshop when asked if Slayer will be returning to Adelaide (to make up for the date they canceled) the manager piped in and said they would be back soon for sound-something.

This is second hand info and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes either way.
