Faith No More post sideshowdates

With Soundwave 2010 squarely in their sights, reunited legends Faith No More have dropped a couple of sideshow dates. Official site fnm.com bears the news that in addition to the national festival, Mike Patton and co. will play Melbourne’s Festival Hall and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion in February.

While FasterLouder is still awaiting an official announcement (don’t rule out other shows yet), this is certainly enough to get fans giddy. The band is currently blazing a trail across South America after an action-packed European festival season.

Monday Feb 22 – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Thursday Feb 25 – Festival Hall, Melbourne

Been away from FL for a couple of days so apologies if this has already been published,

Same weekend eh? I did not realise that. I think this year with Jane's and Faith No More there actually would be some crowd crossover, but not heaps.

had a look on ticketmaster and they havent got any details yet, hopefully sale date announced in next few days.

a friend of mine is trying to convince me to fly up to sydney and do soundwave there too.

this summer will send a lot of us broke i think.

errr seriously confuses me when people are surprised its at the hordern? they're a band thats been around over 20 years, sold millions of records and haven't toured in over 11 years - if you were the band wouldn't you want as many people to see you as possible in a short time span (of touring)? maybe if they weren't headlining a festival they could do numerous nights at a smaller venue such as the enmore but they aren't.
a band such as fnm are too big to do anything smaller ...

fnm and mr bungle were two of the worst bands of the 1990s. Glad i saw screamfeeder and spiderbait instead of mr bungle back in 1996.
