Rammstein reveal Big Day Outhopes

With the worldwide premiere of new single Pussy tomorrow morning and sixth album Liebe Ist FÃƒÂ¼r Alle Da due in October, German metal-pop outfit Rammstein are eager to secure a spot on the Big Day Out bill in 2010.

Bassist Oliver – œOllie’ Riedel told FasterLouder this week: “We would really like to get on the Big Day Out tour again, but we don’t know yet if it’s going to happen. It would definitely be my dream scenario if Rammstein, Limp Bizkit and Korn toured together.”

However, the latest denunciation of Fred Durst and co. by Big Day Out organisers will severely hurt the chances of this dream being fulfilled.

While rumours are rampant that Muse will headline BDO 2010 (frontman Matt Bellamy told Triple J this week: “There’s a very strong chance that we’re going to be coming to Australia in the summer”), a fire-fuelled Rammstein live show would surely give any headliner a run for their money.

This would be awesome if it happened. Unfortunately they way I read it they won't be playing. Personally, I would have thought Soundwave would be ideal for these guys.

Argh! Not Muse! So over them! Boring! Will not be going! What about interesting acts like Rancid, Weezer, Korn, Hole, or Stone Temple Pilots! Or even Alice In Chains tour again! Or Metallica are about due! It seems like BDO is on repeat a fair bit, and it's boring. That's why smart people go to Soundwave, which will put BDO out of business.

The most wasted I've ever been at a Big Day Out was during Rammstein...I actually thought I was in Germany and told my friend that my mum was going to kill me when I rang her and told her I was in Munich. True story. Good times.

In other news, I always read this thread title as Rammsetin reveal Big Day Out herpes...

I fucking love these guys! What a brilliant clip... Definitely was not expecting that much sex! Put that shit on video hits... Love It! These guys would blow any band away in terms of live show... BDO would be stupid to pass up
