Sunset Sounds 2nd line-up

Following the lead of Falls Festival, Brisbane’s summer soiree Sunset Sounds has added more acts to its 2010 line-up. The back-to-back balmy nights at the Botanical and City Gardens are now looking decidedly value-packed.

Norway’s tracksuited party animals Datarock are locked in, along with international co-stars Jamie T and Patrick Watson. Local lights Dappled Cities and Little Red will also kick-start another triumphant year in the Brisbane night air.

The new sign-ups join the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Moby, Grizzly Bear, King Khan & The Shrines and Editors. Check out the full Sunset Sounds second line-up below.

I guess that means they are doing BDO
Disappointing 2nd announcement, but still enough good acts in the first one.

1st lineup is awesome and will sell the tickets, 2nd lineup acts are always just a bonuses

Little Red are at best the third best band in Australia with red in their name. If I could think of more bands with red in their name, they'd probably drop lower on that list.

Red Riders and theredsunband are both better.

Australia is a long way to come to just play at the Annandale. Although if you're from Wales, a sneaky gig at the Annandale could be a good guise to have a summer holiday in Australia.

overall, the full sunset sounds lineup leaves last years in the dust.

i don't think they announced them last year till a few days out. if i remember right playing time didn't get announced till the day before the event or something stupid or it just took me that long to find where they were posted (in their myspace blog)

the queue seemed terrible if you were lining up from the riverside.
it seemed to go on and on. i was glad i took the courage to leave my place in line (after being in it for half an hour) and headed towards the botanical gardens entrance. i was in within 5 minutes.

Yeah the Botanical Gardens entry was straight in, that is where the ticket box/ media pick up was. I found that out the hard way when I turned up at the Riverside entry where almost every gig/festival goes in.

i remember it being quite well organised - we got there early, got straight through the gate cos there was NOONE there - no problems for drink or food queues. The only problem we had was climbing the hill each time we wanted to change stages, but thats only cos we're lazy and unfit...

Sunset Sounds is the sideshow.
Remembering that the bands are playing at Falls Festival - Marion Bay, Falls Festival - Lourne, Southbound Festival and Sunset Sounds.
