Heavy-hearted You Am I fans across the country have waited a while since Tim and the lads last raged about the countryside. The band is about to reward its faithful with a double dose of good news: small-scale shows in October and November, then a return to the studio to start recording their twelfth album during the summer.

Coveted support slots are going off like a frog in a sock, with The Kill Devil Hills and Novacaines booked for WA, while Johnny Casino, Super Wild Horses and Bower Birds are locked in for Victoria.

These shows are billed as a brilliant opportunity to preview some of the band’s new material. There’s even a promise that sets will be varied – if you’ve got time and a one-show fix of the band just isn’t enough.
