Herald Sun gets rumouring

TURNS OUT THEY GOT IT WRONG – BIG DAY OUT HAS SAID ‘DEFINITELY NOT’ TO LIMP BIZKIT.

The Herald Sun was back to its old tricks yesterday, speculating on the impending festival season with the usual broad strokes. After last weekend reporting that Muse is the Big Day Out 2010 headliner-to-be, the Sunday paper turned its attention to “battle of the summer festivals”. The most surprising tit-bit contained within: reunited rap-rockers Limp Bizkit.

As mentioned in the FL forums, the Herald Sun is tipping Fred Durst and co. to also appear on the BDO line-up. The article’s author Nui Te Koha reports: – œA spokeswoman for the Big Day Out said: “The line-up is not totally not locked down, but we can rumour (Muse, Blink 182 and Limp Bizkit).”’

Taking into account the repetition of – œnot’, the phrase – œwe can rumour’ and the curious use of brackets, we recommend a forklift of salt for this one. The real Big Day Out 2010 line-up is expected to arrive in late-September. Stay tuned!

I'm shocked the Hun couldn't work a mention of Collingwood into the article. That said I'd rather watch Nathan Buckley sing kareoke than witness this rumoured line up.

Oh god that is worrying. Pls don't let this be the beginning of a nu-metal revival.

it's probably best to take everything you read in the herald sun with a "forklift of salt".

it's the today tonight of newspapers.

give me strength! blink 182 and limp bizkit for f**k's sake! you'd hardly race out for tickets with bands like that headlining a big day out.

bizkit are the worst kind of american degenerate music and blink 182, well, they're old enough to know better surely? not i guess, when there's oodles of cashola still to be made from shite bubblegum punk. green day have proved that.

those bizkit boys
