Having lived out of a suitcase for most of 2009, Philadelphia Grand Jury keep the momentum up this October and November. The Sydney party-mongers will journey from Frankston to Kiama, bringing their raucous live show to the people.

This outing is particularly special though, as the Philly Jays have a debut album, Hope Is For The Hopers, due on 25 September. If the trio’s Going To The Casino EP is any indication, your living room is in for a rocking.

It’s hard to fathom how the guys found any time to spare for the studio. Their watershed year has included rollicking festival slots and sweaty club shows, not to mention support honours for the likes of Bluejuice, Manchester Orchestra and Dappled Cities.

On this album tour, the Phillys are accompanied by Melbourne two-hander Kid Sam and dreamy pop purveyors Young Heretics.
