High Vibes is the finale of the Darebin Music Feast and a celebration of Northcote, which claims to be home to more musicians per capita than any other suburb in Australia.

On the 20th of September High St is closed to traffic day for the long festival, with up to 80,000 people swarming the street to enjoy the music, food and entertainment.

Highlights of High Vibes include Aleks and the Ramps and Qua at the Wesley Anne; Buttered Loaf, Mista Savona and Spoonbill at 303; and Washington, Kid Sam, St Helens, Black Cab and Clinkerfield at the Northcote Social; and The Sand Pebbles, Cuthbert and The Night Walkers and Matt Joe Gow at the Separation and High Street outdoor stage.

As only the truly insane would try to drive to the festival, ditch the car and get there by #86 tram or jump on an Epping Line train to Northcote station.
