For those of you who can’t get enough reggae and roots music, and for those whose knowledge of reggae starts and finishes at Bob Marley it’s time to broaden your horizons and go along to ReggaeTown on Saturday 5 September.

As part of the Cairns Festival 2009, ReggaeTown will be hosting a wide variety of artists from all around the world including Africa, Jamaica, New Zealand and The Torres Strait as well as local acts. The final line up has just been released and includes local favourites Blue King Brown as well as Katchafire, Nicky Bomba, Anthony B and One Africa.

As well as all these amazing acts there will also be roving performers, cafes, garden bars, kids activities, workshops in music, dance and crafts and market stalls. If you can’t find the time to take a road trip to Cairns many artists will be doing side shows right here in Brisbane, so get yourself along to The Step Inn and catch the reggae vibe from September 3 – 12.
