The Middle East move out
Wed 26th Aug, 2009 in Local News
One of the quiet highlights of this year’s Splendour In The Grass, Townsville locals The Middle East will embark on a headline tour this October. The band has been finessing its live show throughout the first half of the year, warming stages for the likes of Augie March and Doves.
After this east coast adventure, The Middle East will regroup in their hometown to record a debut album. While the indie troupe is lined up for Homebake and Meredith Music Festival in December, these October shows might be your last chance for a while to get up close with The Middle East. Coming along for the ride are Townsville buddies Dragging Pianos, “plus a raft of wonderful local supports”.
The Middle East hones in on the following venues this October.
Thursday October 8 – Princess Theatre, Brisbane (All ages, With Jake Core & Dragging Pianos)
Friday October 9 – Manning Bar, Sydney (All ages, With Dragging Pianos & Jonathan Boulet)
Saturday October 10 – ANU Bar, Canberra (With Dragging Pianos & Margaret Helen King)
Sunday October 11 – The Corner Hotel, Melbourne (With Dragging Pianos & Oliver Mann)
