Returning for the sixth year running The Pyramid Rock Festival has just announced its first line-up, and boy is it a beauty. Bringing in the New Year at Phillip Island will be the enigma-wrapped-in-an-enigma, Luke Steele, heading up his electro-pop behemoth Empire Of The Sun. He will be joined by fellow Aussies and festival favoutites The Cat Empire, prog-rock poster boys The Butterfly Effect and those happy kids with the dancing pants Architecture In Helsinki.
US hip-hoppers Ugly Duckling, UK indie-rockers Baddies and fellow Brits The Boxer-Rebellion will also be touching down on the Mornington Peninsular for Pyramid 2009. Whilst punk-funker’s LCD Soundsytem are set to take the post-band slot honours with an exclusive DJ set.
