Buzzcocks tour

Manchester punks Buzzcocks have announced that they will be tearing back to Australia as part of their Different…Bites tour this November. Last dowunder in 2006, this tour will see Pete Shelley and co play their first two albums Another Music In Different Kitchen and Love Bites back to back.

Formed in 1976 Buzzcocks have a reputation for playing very loud and very fast. Surviving a break to pursue other projects in the mid 80’s, the seminal punks have continued to regularly release new material throughout their career despite numerous line-up changes.

These shows are sure to be an ear-splitting treat:

Wed Nov 18th: Coolangatta – The Cooly Bandroom

Thu Nov 19th: Brisbane – The Zoo

Fri Nov 20th: Sydney – The Forum

Sat Nov 21st: Melbourne – Corner Hotel

Sun Nov 22nd: Hobart – Moorilla

Tue Nov 24th: Adelaide – The Gov

Wed Nov 25th: Perth – Amplifier Bar

has anyone seen them recently? im always wary when old rockers reform - there's a strong tendency to just stand completely still and play songs which require a passion and intensity to work...

Interesting.
Hope it's not too expensive.

Pearl Jam automatically have a big mark against them for not being the ones who recorded "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)".

I saw Pete and co last time they toured and it was a great night. High energy and LOTS of songs at a relentless pace. They did well for a few old farts. I will be there again for sure!

Yeah, they toured 2 or 3 years ago. Well worth the effort!

but what have the Buzzcocks done other than that of significance. I have never liked them at all. I am waiting to see The Fall visit our parts.

The Buzzcocks are awesome. No question.

Haha,to be honest I don't rate much of their material besides Ever Fallen and Orgasm Addict but those two songs kick ass.

Also would like to see The Fall soon.
Seems like they aren't very fond of playing old material though.

Why both posting something so negative? If you don't like Buzzcocks then go fuck off to some other thread instead of bringging us Buzzcocks fans down with your Gen Y bullshit.

Are you upset because you can't fit into that size 8 dress anymore? Quit being such a betsy and dip your toe into reality sometime soon. The Fall are a bit before Gen Y anyway...

You seem to have missed that my abuse was directed to you, not the Fall, who I agree are a fine band, but not as fine, or as culturally significant as the Buzzcocks. There would be no Fall if there wasn't Buzzcocks.

...and my Size 8 dress fits just fine. The only difference is I am now a bit taller so my balls hang past the hem line.

Was that meant to be abuse? It was at best premenstrual screeching...
The Fall and Buzzcocks were formed in the same year so you can quit talking out your ass in regards to The Fall.

I don't claim to be an expert but I believe they were both formed in 1976.

Buzzcocks earlier than The Fall though.

w/e point is buzzcocks rule and invented d-beat

the fall invented the same album every time they make an album

The point is that I saw the Buzzcocks in 06 and have yet to see The Fall. You could also argue that the Buzzcocks never deviated in sound either, but I don't really care.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the two of them get together if the schedules fit (maybe Melbourne). They have played together before (captured on PJ's Live at Garden DVD) and have a high mutual admiration.
