The misleadingly named East Brunswick All Girls Choir have an August residency at the equally misleadingly named Newtown Workers Club in Fitzroy.
Their stint at the kicked off on Thursday August 6 with Pageants and continues with Ned Collette on the 13th and with Witch Hats on the 20th. The final night of the residency, on August 27, will double as the launch of first album Dead Air, which they finished recording last weekend.
EBAGC began as a solo project for Marcus Hobbs (ex-Bang! Bang! Aids!) under the name Smokin Hot Bitch, but has now expanded to feature ex-members of Drumheller and Good Intentions.
