First Soundwave line-up thisThursday

Full line-up for Soundwave 2010 here.

Promoters have confirmed that the first official line-up announcement for Soundwave 2010 will take place this Thursday evening via the festival’s new website and, of course, right here on FasterLouder.

Already announced on the lineup are Dance Gavin Dance, The Creepshow and Gallows who, if rumour is to be believed, could be joining anyone from Faith No More to punk icons Rancid on the bill in 2010. Last week Spinerette’s Brody Dalle revealed in an interview with JJJ that her band will also be here in time for Soundwave, setting tongues wagging as to the possibility of her and the ex being downunder at the same time.

All will finally be laid to rest this Thursday evening (time TBC) – keep an eye on FL for more updates.

Dexter is on the money that The Gaelic would have been a more appropriate venue size.

I went to UNSW. Finished there 5 years ago.

A friend is the venue manager at the Roundhouse.

Me too. Their live album is fucking horrendous but they were half decent at Soundwave which impressed me greatly.

I know, I know. Commercial rock sell out anyone? It grew on me for a second but I couldn't do it to myself....

i know 3 soundwave threads is rather superfluous, but while we're on the topic, can someone put billy talent into a context that makes them seem even remotely legitimate?

Billy Talent at Brisbane soundwave were probably my fave performance of the day, between them and nine inch nails and the subways..
I and II are both excellent, ive only heard 'devil on my shoulder' from III, its good but its missing something that I and II had.
Surely they wouldnt play two soundwaves in a row? thats recycling to the extreme.

The Subways were my highlight of this year's Soundwave. Billy Talent weren't too bad either though.

i highly doubt they'd book the same band two years in a row though.

yeah the subways were unreal i thought, played such a good tight set and i just had so much fun.

and you'd have to hope that they wouldnt book the same band twice...
especially when BT played third last making them one of the bigger bands at this year's event.
