Hot on the heels of the Falls Festival line-up, Brisbane’s own offshoot Sunset Sounds has followed suit. The event will return to the Brisbane Botanical and City Gardens on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 January 2010 for two balmy nights under the stars.

A good chunk of the Falls dream team is making the pilgrimage north. Hipster idols Yeah Yeah Yeahs will headline alongside Moby and full band, Grizzly Bear, King Khan and the Shrines, Seasick Steve, Editors, Hilltop Hoods and plenty more from home and abroad. To get in the mood for the good times ahead, check out the photos from last summer’s soiree.

Sunset Sounds returns to Brisbane Botanical and City Gardens on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 January 2010 – proudly presented by FasterLouder. Here’s the line-up so far, with more names (and day-by-day breakdown) still to come.

yeah yeah yeahs! have spent all night listening to them, and i am now uber hyped to see them live.
if they were to be joined by editors, art vs science, kaki king, lisa mitchell and hilltop hoods, then that would be a rather amazing day.
very, very excited for yeah yeah yeahs.

i love my woodford over the new year period but i hate missing the acts that play at falls.

Was a great little festival last year, except for the first day entrance debacle. Have put the long dusty drive to Falls days behind me, its just jet planes and sunshine from here on in.

Any word on ticket prices?

id say the acts are from the falls 2nd announcement and the sunset website says there are more internationals to be added too

Agreed. With the pixies tour announced i think i'm only going to be able to afford to go day 2. Only act i'm mildly cut about not seeing will be Kaki King, who i've seen before.
Although with more internationals to come...

Thanks man, at the time of posting this i was unawares as to whether there would be another falls lineup announcement.
This could make things interesting depending on what internationals are added to what days...

as far as i know, because sunset sounds is a falls sideshow, theres no further ones.

i have a feeling that this year tix were approx 80-90 for one day and 120-130 for the two
but don't quote me on it

there was definitely only about 20 - 30 bucks difference between 1 and 2 day passes.

seems like a waste to miss out on a whole nother day for that price

Sunset sounds is the sideshow - You might get sideshows for the acts which do Falls but not Sunset sounds... maybe the more electronic acts

There's a reason this festival is in the middle of the week, its more or less a hit and run tour

Not convinced on the line-up so far. White Rabbits would have had me there. Sideshow will have me overlooking the festival completely.
