Those lucky enough to score a coveted ticket to the pre-Splendour party in Byron Bay last night (Friday 24 July) witnessed something special from secret headliners Bloc Party.
The UK band – who are this year making their third Splendour appearance – played their entire debut album Silent Alarm in the intimate surrounds of the Great Northern Hotel. The four-piece was billed as The Silent Alarms, with support from Glaswegian knockabouts Dananananaykroyd and Brissie boys Yves Klein Blue. The event sold out far in advance.
