Tame Impala headline tour
Mon 20th Jul, 2009 in Local News
With a new single Sundown Syndrome on its way, Perth psychedelic adventurers Tame Impala head out on a mammoth headline tour in September. The band is trekking across the country for over a month, taking in both regional and major city stops.
Recorded in London during a European jaunt, Sundown Syndrome arrives on 31 July, packaged with Tame Impala’s take on Blue Boy’s Remember Me. These September shows will be a chance for the boys to celebrate the coming together of their debut album, which they’ve been hard at work on in a “massive shack on the beach”.
They’ve got another month to go finessing their handiwork, with the full-length due in early 2010. We’re confident it’ll consolidate its place in our 30 Most-Anticipated Albums. In the meantime, you’ll have to content yourself with the hypnotic slow-burn of the Tame Impala live show.
Tame Impala’s Sundown Syndrome tour makes the following stops, supported by Sydney one-to-watch Jonathan Boulet. Tickets on sale Thursday 23 July.
