Paul Dempsey heads out again
Thu 16th Jul, 2009 in Local News
After regaling his fans with a cross-country jaunt in June, Paul Dempsey has announced another run of dates. These shows are set to follow the release of the man’s debut solo album Everything Is True on 14 August.
This outing will be a little different from the last. Dempsey is bringing a new band with him – made up of Dallas Crane players Shannon Vanderwert (drums) and Pat Bourke (bass), as well as seasoned all-rounder John Hedigan on guitar and keys.
Those quick enough to snap up tickets to Dempsey performances last month will already have a feel for the new material, including first singles Out The Airlock and Ramona Was A Waitress. The September/October tour sees the man making more stops, with sell-outs as good as guaranteed. Expect set-lists to span Everything Is True numbers, Something For Kate staples and a smattering of spirited covers.
Paul Dempsey and his new recruits play the following venues throughout September and October.
Thurs 10 September – Ruby’s Lounge
Fri 11 September – The Palais, Hepburn Springs
Sat 12 September – Corner Hotel, Melbourne
