Tex Perkins goes out alone
Fri 10th Jul, 2009 in Local News
Self-coined – œstorytelling balladeer and melancholic philosopher’ Tex Perkins will hit the open road this winter. The ramble around the country comes off the back of his new collection Songs From My Black Cattle Dog, which celebrates Tex in solo-and-unvarnished mode. FasterLouder is honoured indeed to be coming along for the ride.
As the man himself says of Songs From My Black Cattle Dog: “If you want to hear a world weary journeyman spin a few yarns, spill some beans, spit out some bile, spread a few rumours and shed one or two tears…then THIS IS the collection for you.” We daresay the same will be true of his live shows across this vast land.
Tickets to all shows are on sale through FasterLouder. For an extra ten bucks, we’ll throw in a copy of Songs From My Black Cattle Dog as well. Bargain!
