Falls Festival ballot andline-up date

If you’re planning to usher in the New Year at the mighty Falls Music & Arts Festival, it’s not long before you’ll be rejoicing in the first line-up. Jot Thursday 13 August in your diary as the day FasterLouder will deliver you the good news. Equally importantly, from 15 July you can subscribe to The Falls Ticket Ballot, ensuring the true believers get the first look-in.
As ever, the long-running love-in will set up camp in both Victoria’s Lorne and Tasmania’s Marion Bay. The 2008 edition boasted a bumper line-up including Franz Ferdinand, The Hives, Gomez and The Kooks, and we can expect the same high-calibre this summer. In fact, much-hyped US five-piece Passion Pit and Welsh virtuosos Future Of The Left have already told FasterLouder they could be there. We wait in hope.
To be in on the action, head to the brand new Falls Festival website next Wednesday 15 July. Subscriptions to The Falls Ticket ballot close Monday 24 August.
