With fourth album They Blind the Stars, and The Wild Team due out next week, Sydney quartet Decoder Ring will head out on a headline tour in August. It has been four years since the band’s last studio effort Fractions, in which time they’ve done the Australian festival circuit, had a crack at North America and enjoyed an extended break from touring.
The new record was recorded with US producer Scott Colburn, whose credits include Animal Collective and Arcade Fire. Decoder Ring will put the new material through its paces at Splendour In The Grass in July, before taking it to the theatres. Support will come from those beguiling ladies Bridezilla, whose debut album is also on its way.
They Blind the Stars, and The Wild Team is out through Inertia Recordings on Saturday 11 July. Decoder Ring play these shows to launch the album.
