The Bronx do Septembersideshows
Wed 1st Jul, 2009 in Local News
Announced on the line-up for Gosford’s gargantuan Coaster Festival in September, California hard-nuts The Bronx will also do a bit on the side. FasterLouder is riding shotgun the whole way.
Over the past four years, the five-piece has played both Soundwave and Meredith Music Festival in Australia (how many bands can claim that?), with both visits a riotous success. This time round will be a little different, though. As well as ripping it up as The Bronx, the guys will perform a second set as their alter-egos, Mariachi El Bronx.
In August, the band is releasing a mariachi-inspired record El Bronx, which will see them trade bruising punk for violin, vihuela and who knows what else. It looks like we’ll be some of the first audiences to hear the new stuff first-hand.
The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx play these three sideshows in September, proudly presented by FasterLouder. All tickets are available through FasterLouder.
Wednesday 9 – Brisbane, The Hi-Fi
Thursday 10 – Sydney, The Metro
Sunday 13 – Melbourne, Billboard The Venue
