Fear Factory cancels tour
Fri 26th Jun, 2009 in Local News
With the various band members embroiled in a conflict over who owns the name, Fear Factory has cancelled its August tour of Australia. While the official reason cited is – œrecording commitments’, the band (or a version of it) also called off its German circuit to deal with the legal issues.
The line-up that was set to come to Australia comprised Dino Cazares, Burton C. Bell, Byron Stroud and Gene Hoglan. Former members Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera have apparently objected to the four-piece adopting the Fear Factory moniker without consultation. As reported by Blabbermouth.net, Herrera confirmed on radio: “There’s a big legal battle going on right now.”
Cancelled Fear Factory shows. Ticket refunds available from point of purchase.

Thu 20 August – Tivoli, Brisbane
