Stabs down at Cherry
Tue 23rd Jun, 2009 in Local News
You have plans for this Friday night the 26th of June?
Wrong – you had plans. Cancel whatever you were thinking of doing and get your sorry sack of bones down to Cherry for the music, madness and mayhem of Bootleg.
With a guttural drone The Stabs bash their way through a broodingly brutal set in the headline position. Easily the best way to get ‘stabbed’ in a Melbourne laneway.
They’re ably supported by the street-edge post-grunge glamour of Mother & Father and Ships Piano with their Ramones / Blue Cheer / Joe Strummer influenced no-bullshit rock’n’roll.
Bootleg takes over Cherry on the last Friday of every month and with upcoming gigs boasting The Meanies and the Black Ryder it’s time to become a regular.
Bootleg at Cherry
Friday 26 June
The Stabs 11PM -11:40PM
Ships Piano 10PM -10:30PM
Mother & Father 9PM – 9:30PM
