When Placebo was announced on the line-up for Japan’s Summer Sonic in August, plenty of fans expected to see the band at Splendour In The Grass. Now it seems the newly invigorated trio will be making us until wait summer. Frontman Brian Molko has just told Triple J Placebo is looking to tour “around January”.

This revelation adds to an ever-growing pile of Big Day Out rumours (it’s still June 2009, right?). Just this week, Lily Allen told the crowd at her Sydney show, “Hopefully I’ll see you guys at the Big Day Out 2010!” She joins an enticing list of possibles that also includes Grizzly Bear and Blink-182.
