When Luke Steele waxed lyrical about the debut of the Empire Of The Sun live show at Parklife, he forgot to mention it wouldn’t feature his other half Nick Littlemore. Turns out all we had to do was read the duo’s MySpace blog to find that out. A post last week reads: “Lord Littlemore, who does not perform in the live show, says, – œWe created the music as a celebration, this is an exciting new chapter in the Empire journey.’”

So there you have it – the Pnau fruitcake is apparently as expendable onstage as he is in the video for new single Standing On The Shore. While it’s clear Steele handles all the vocals in Empire Of The Sun, Littlemore would surely be handy to have around. Who else will descend from above in white robes? Perhaps Parklife only has room for one Jesus complex.
