First Faith No More set-list

Having come in at #1 on FL’s 25 Most Wanted Tours, – œ90s juggernaut Faith No More played its first reunion show in London last night. The band – whose current line-up has Jon Hudson replacing original guitarist Jim Martin – were met with a sold-out and amped-up crowd at Brixton Academy.

Opening with a Peaches & Herb cover, the band powered through a show that would have most FNM fans weak at the knees. Plenty of shaky camera phone footage was captured of the momentous event – sadly not much of what has materialised on YouTube is any good. Lucky, then, that Metal Hammer magazine has come through with the night’s set-list for us to ogle at. Mike Patton, rally the troops and fulfill our wish.

Here’s what Faith No More played at the first stop on their reunion tour.

awesome, hope they come to Australia over the summer. Why would Jim Martin be even mentioned? He left the band before the last two (and best) albums. Hudson was the guitarist on Album of the Year.

mate i listen to variety, you just see me posting about indie rock bands and think i only listen to indie i listen to glitch, electronica, jazz more or less most genres but mike patton has not a great deal of talent m8. fantamos were a joke band that everyone thought was serious.

Hey dude, the reason I mentioned Jim Martin is that a lot of the press has been about 'the original Faith No More reunited', but Jim Martin didn't return. But yes, probably wasn't clear why I included that.

2. Except they did exist. And having seen them twice, many eons ago, I can guarantee you that FNM can and will blow any band you care to mention out of the fucking water.

I've pretty much blown my load a billion times today over this actually happening.

It's so surreal to see them performing together again. And actually look like they really fucking enjoyed themselves - especially Mike P. Weird. But so incredibly exciting and joyous.

I have it on good authority that they will be in Australia early this year. But not for Big Day Out.

I like indie music too. And James Mercer should be credited for a long time to come for his songs. Just as Mike Patton and FNM should be in their genre. Are you saying that in 20 years time, Gibbard and Mercer will automatically become dinosaurs of indie music and therefore you wouldn't and shouldn't be interested in seeing them because they will be "hacks?"

So, if you dont like rock and like only indie music then how can you even have an opinion on FNM? How can you call them mediocre?

You gotta be joking you turkey, Buzz is the farking king and Melvins riffs are some of the fattest around. He commands attention, and his voice has the ability to soar over his mangled yet gorgeous guitar tones. I love the lyrics, and the production on Melvins albums always leaves me slack jawed.

Dude, with that comment I know to ignore your opinion cause you are the a negative reproduction of my views. Note to self: lineofbestfit criticizes amazing music and bags what I like. Easy, no flame war needed, just a big barrel of ignore for you. Now I will continue on with my opinions for the people who agree with me :P

Fantomas are an amazing live band and when they teamed up with Melvins for the Big Band tour, well you know what? I think I have seen music reach its heavyness peak. Two drummers, Patton, Buzz, Dunn, what an orgy of heavyness.

FNM reforming is a good thing in my opinion as they are still relevant and are at the top of their game performance wise, I can't wait to see them again in Oz as I went to every tour from Angel Dust onward.

Take it from our drummer, Puff.. being good, it gets you... stuff.
