After several persistent (but fruitless) rumours in recent times, The B-52s will at last return to Australia this November. The new wave originals will perform at six – œa day on the green’ winery events, as well as a few special theatre shows.

Having ruled the – œ70s with a raft of hits, The B-52s set the template for many to follow. They’ve kept up a steady work rate, too, releasing eight album Funplex last year. Their last full Australian tour was way back in 1990 (Sydney got lucky with a one-off night in 2004), so the fervour for their live show is sure to be overwhelming.

Keeping up the fine pedigree will be special guests The Proclaimers and our very own Mental As Anything (celebrating their 30th Anniversary no less). Sing-alongs will be plentiful.

The B-52s land at the following shows this summer. Tickets on sale Monday 22 June.
