While nothing has been confirmed by local promoters, Green Day’s official fan-site has revealed Australian shows for December. As reported by Liveguide, greendayauthority.com has the band playing shows in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The Green Day website, however, has not been updated with the new shows.

There has been much speculation about when the SoCal punks turned arena superstars would be heading back our way. Following the release of 21st Century Breakdown last month, it seems the guys won’t be taking pause on their world tour. The December visit will follow solid months of gigging through the USA (where they’ll bring Franz Ferdinand and Kaiser Chiefs along for the ride), UK and Europe.
