Speaking with FL this week, Dan Rossen of Brooklyn prodigies Grizzly Bear revealed the band is “coming down [to Australia] in January”. With a brilliant new album Veckatimest out this month, we previously speculated that the four-piece could be a second line-up addition for Splendour In The Grass. However, it now seems we’ll be seeing them on the Big Day Out juggernaut in summer.

“We are going to come down in January,” Rossen confirmed to FL’s Chris Familton. “There is a festival that moves from city to city that we are doing.” When asked whether it’s Big Day Out they’re booked for, the singer replied, “I think that’s the one, yeah. We’re really excited about it; it’ll be brilliant.”

While we’re still a good eight months away from the event, if the rest of the Big Day Out 2010 line-up follows in this vein we’re in for a stellar year. Stay tuned for the full interview with Grizzly Bear on FL soon!
