Luminous Festival adds moreacts

The Brian Eno-curated Luminous Festival in Sydney has added some fine homegrown artists to its bill. Opening for Battles at their Opera Theatre show is Palace Of Fire, the new band of Charge Group frontman Matt Blackman and Wolfmother’s Chris Ross and Myles Heskett. Palace Of Fire made its live debut at the intimate Boogie Rock Festival in Victoria last month.
Having enjoyed an extremely rigorous start to the year, brain-scrambling trio Pivot will warm the stage for brooding synth-pop outfit Ladytron. Other new additions include Sine, Lolo Lovina, Watussi and Alister Spence Trio. Luminous stretches from 26 May to 14 June, taking over the various spaces of the Sydney Opera House.
