The White Album concert

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the The Beatles’ seminal White Album, four Aussie rock greats will band together for special shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Josh Pyke, Tim Rogers, The Living End’s Chris Cheney and Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson will be joined by a 17-piece band to pay tribute to the Fab Four’s hits. FasterLouder is proud to present these one-off shows.

As the press spiel promises: ” The White Album songs will be performed in track order, starting with Back in the USSR and closing with Good Night, with state of the art sound.”

The Beatles White Album 40th Anniversary Concert series comes to these venues in August, presented by FasterLouder. Tickets on sale Friday 22 May.

Tuesday 4 August – Hamer Hall, Melbourne
Thursday 6 August – Brisbane QPAC
Friday 7 & Saturday 8 August – Sydney Opera House

I'm keen. I love the album, and would like to see how they tackle it. I'm hoping its not created note perfect or how it sounds on the album to be honest.

The Bonefinger records annual All you Need is Beatles concerts are awesome every year and you only pay $15 and it all goes to charity!!! Looking forward to the next one...hopefully Gin Club will play again!
