ACDC announce Australian dateswith Wolfmother

UPDATE: Shows sold out and more dates added. Head here for details.

After a year of rumours and ‘Big Day Out 2010’ conjecture, Aussie rock legends AC/DC have finally announced they will be returning to Australia in February 2010 for five mammoth arena shows as part of their Black Ice world tour.

It will be the first time since 2001 that Angus and the boys have brought their high octane show down under and supporting them on their home soil dates will be Australia’s other rock behemoth Wolfmother.

Get ready to shake it all night long with the legends of rock themselves in 2010 at the following shows :

February 11 – Melbourne, Australia – Etihad Stadium
February 18 – Sydney, Australia – ANZ Stadium
February 25 – Brisbane, Australia – Nathan Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre)
March 2 – Adelaide, Australia – Adelaide Oval
March 6 – Perth, Australia – Subiaco

Tickets will range from $99 to $149.90 with the band deliberately attempting to keep prices as low as possible.

Tickets go on sale Monday May 25th.

They have taken their time to get back to AUS. Imagine the tickets will be snapped up quickly and it certainly looks like they plan to slot a few more shows in given the timing of the shows

Hey guys - I wrote this on the other article as well BUT if anyone is freaking out that they didn't get tix, you can still get them for a couple of cities from these guys: (you have to ring the contact number to get them and pay phone booking fee, but it's probably worth it!)

not till next saturdee !!! but have fun BH - going early for a good spot ?

Braveheart81 said on the 18th Feb, 2010

I've got tickets in one of the front standing areas so it should be good regardless (Sydney has three standing areas. A and B are split down the middle at the front of stage (I'm in section B), and then section C is standing behind that on the stadium floor.

I'm certainly not going to be there at 5pm when the gates open.
