Weezer go to South Korea
Thu 7th May, 2009 in Local News
Effectively dashing any distant hope of seeing Weezer at Splendour In The Grass, the indie oddballs have just announced their debut appearance in South Korea. They’ll play the Jisan Valley Rock Festival on 24 July, before heading to Naeba Ski Resort in Japan to headline the final day of Fuji Rock. The South Korean bash also features Jimmy Eat World, Patti Smith and Fall Out Boy.
In other enviable Weezer news, Rivers and co. will take part in an all-star charity bash next weekend. The KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, California brings together Jimmy Eat World (again), Kings Of Leon, Rancid, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Silversun Pickups and White Lies amongst others. Oh, to be American for a day. Meanwhile, Weezer go back to the – œAustralian tour pipe dream’ list.
