Canberra favourites Hancock Basement need your help to secure their place at Splendour in the Grass this year and they’re giving you the chance to join them!

The boys say, “If you only do one thing for us ever, please do this. We’re begging you. Basically we’ve been shortlisted for a comp to play Splendour in the Grass, and now we need your help!”

As a voter you can win 1 of 8 double all weekend pass to Splendour at, Belongil Fields, Byron Bay (25-27 July 2009) including the chance to meet the winning band and stand side of stage. Each time you vote (you can vote once each hour) you get another entry into the competition, so what do you have to lose!

You can vote once every hour! Voting closes May 22 to get the boys into round 2. After that there’s rounds 3 and 4, but the band tells us they’ll cross that bridge when they get to it).

Currently the band is sitting at 8th place in the voting and need your help to move up the ladder. Do your civic duty and help Hancock Basement!

Hancock Basement will be launching they’re brand new 7” vinyl at Transit Bar on Thursday May 28 featuring new song Don Juan and the song the boys won Triple J Trackside Unearthed with, Hey Kids.
