With their latest effort Evisceration Plague getting rabid reviews, the almighty Cannibal Corpse are heading to our shores this September.
After over 20 years of gore, these death metal pioneers are still finding new ways to shock and disgust censors. Who could forget the scene in the documentary Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey where the academic, confronted with the cover artwork of The Wretched Spawn, goes pale as she states that disturbing imagery in metal music was “far worse than I had imagined”?
After having their records banned from sale in this country between 1996 and 2006, no doubt The ‘Corpse have a special place in their hearts for Australia. Tickets go on sale from Thursday May 7th.
